The EU DPP Registry indexes identifiers and registration data. Detailed product data remains decentralised with the responsible economic operator or its service provider. Registration therefore does not replace the provision of the product data itself.

Timeline
The ESPR working plan names 2026 for iron and steel. This is a plan for product-specific rules, not a general DPP start date. Published legal acts determine the scope and transitional periods that apply.
